Cassette AI
An AI music and sound effects generator whose Pro Plan is only $4/mo.
The actual beats it's creating today, in my humble opinion, are flat at the time being.
The lows and highs seemed flattened down like every track is being played through a 1980s cassette player, perhaps hence the name.
If they can increase the fidelity and dynamic range of the outputs, perhaps they'll have to rename the product CD.AI, but in the meantime, we've got cassette.
Test:
Here is the output when I asked it the following prompt, "a creaky door swinging closed, then right as it slams, a loud extended fart sound, then audience laughter and clapping"
And here is the output when I put in "Mamba is a poom pam poom pam boomba lady" which is the language I speak to talk to my dog. I thought is was going to take the text given and produce a song WITH LYRICS but I was mistaken. So clearly, the system honed in on the cue of Mamba for the style of music, even though that is my dog's name. Then, it took the rest of the words to indicate something to the effect of my wanting the music to sound like a breakbeat or drum and bass.
I do a little bit of beat-making myself, mostly as a hobby at this point. I don't think this or any other AI sound generator is really quite at the level where I'm about to use it regularly for my beats but it is something to have in my back pocket that could be useful when I need something really specific that won't be on a stock asset site and that won't sound corny when generated with AI.
Random points:
As a branding specialist, it offends me to see a customer-facing product, that is launched, that is charging users for their service... THAT doesn't have a legitimate logo. It's inexcusable in my opinion.
Somebody squatted on the more desirable domain, cassette.ai, but the owners of the real product didn't see it worthwhile to plunk down the $3000 the owner is asking for the domain.
