Gretel offers a data and privacy solution.

One use case that is a perfect example to highlight what sort of service Gretel provides has to do with medical records.

Rather than try and stitch together the various networks with their proprietary permission protocols in order to compile medical data about a particular patient set, Gretel is about to get around all the hairy regulatory thorns by simply modeling the data in an anonymous form.

Once they've modeled the data that needs to be private, they're able to create fictional entries that would statistically match the data inside the database but that would be unique, randomized, and fully anonymous.

This is a B2C play, so most of us have no way of tinkering with it, for now.

We'll update here if/when we notice Gretel up to anything new and noteworthy.
